2024 Southlands Holiday Hometown Parade

We are looking for parade participants!

Thank you for your interest in the 2024 Southlands Holiday Hometown Parade. Applications are now closed. If you are involved with an approved float / program, you can still submit your digital waiver. Contact Rhonda at rhonda@blingeventpro.com with any questions. Thank you!

2024 Parade Guidelines

  • Each entity or organization may have one (1) vehicle and one (1) float in the Parade.

  • Groups are limited to 50 participants total, including drivers and chaperones. Only 15 participants may walk; the majority must ride on the float, with access to handholds for safety. Exemptions made for marching bands.

  • Floats must be staged on a trailer pulled by a vehicle. Participants riding in a truck bed are not permitted.

  • Float themes and descriptions must be submitted to rhonda@blingeventpro.com by Friday, October 25th, 2024, on the 2024 Parade Application. Designs should be fun and tasteful (e.g., Winter Wonderland, Rocking Around the Christmas Tree, Story-telling float with Mrs. Claus, elves, reindeer, or an ice castle).

  • Groups are encouraged to display a banner or sign attached to the front vehicle and/or float, or carried in front of your group to identify your organization.

  • Create a festive look for your group—Santa hats, lighted necklaces, flashlights, etc. Please refrain from dressing anyone in a full Santa costume, as the only Santa will appear at the conclusion of the Parade.

  • No candy, gifts, or other items may be thrown from the float or handed out by participants. Do not encourage spectators to approach your vehicle or float, as this poses a safety risk.

  • No organizational promotions or campaign materials may be distributed or displayed before, during, or after the event.

  • Vehicle and float drivers must hold an adult driver's license and comply with all state regulations. Drivers must remain with their vehicle at all times (except during the driver meeting) once staged in the Parade area.

  • On Parade Day, all participants and drivers must check in by 4:30 PM. Wristbands will be issued to identify approved participants with a signed waiver on file, including drivers.

  • There will be a mandatory driver meeting in the parade float staging area at 5:00 PM on Parade Day.

  • At least one representative from each group must attend the mandatory walk-through on Thursday, November 21st, at 6:00 PM, prior to the event.
